The East Bluff Community Center is proud to offer free food assistance to families in greater Peoria on a weekly basis. The main qualification is residence in Peoria County. 


The pantry is managed by East Bluff resident Willa Lucas and The Rev. Simon Holley of Prince of Peace Church. 


Food is donated by Midwest Food Bank, Peoria Area Food Bank, and Heart of Illinois Harvest. The Food Pantry offers pre-made baskets plus food options that the participants can select. 


Pantry Hours

  • 8:30 a.m. to Noon
  • First four Saturdays of the month.
  • No pantry service on the fifth Saturday.


How can I qualify?

  • Any individual who lives in Peoria County qualifies


What do I need? 

  • Register on the Saturday that you need the food. 
  • Present proof of residency - such as a driver's license, utility bill or copy of a lease. 


Where do I go?

  • Come in the main door on Kansas street.
  • Go down the stairs to the first floor. 
  • There is a Registration Table which is staffed by a volunteer.
  • Show your proof of residence, grab your food, and enjoy your day! 


How often can I get food?

  • A patron may get food from the pantry twice a month.


What do I receive?

  • Patrons will choose from a selection of fresh bread, canned goods and bakery goods. 
  • There is usually a seasonal selection of fresh fruits and veggies, frequently including cabbage, lettuce, and peppers.
  • You will also receive a pre-packed bag of a week's worth of groceries, including frozen meat.
